This is something I never used to do but now I love the feel of smooth skin after I exfoliate! It is especially good a day or two before you get a wax (eyebrows, legs etc) as it helps to get rid of any dead and dry skin before the wax takes out the hairs – much more effective! If you have sensitive skin then exfoliating may not be the way to go for you or you may just want to try being super gentle – use your fingers in a circular motion instead of a loofah, glove or pad so you can feel how much pressure you use. If your skin isn’t super sensitive then doing this once or twice a week up to your wedding/event will give you smooth and silky skin that is a dream for artists to work on and you’ll feel nice and extra clean too. I use Palmolive’s Body Butter in Coconut Scrub – love that smell! And make sure you moisturise afterward.
Sensitive skin folk – I’m sorry to say but it may hurt or irritate your skin so go easy and don’t try this for the first time the week before your wedding/event just in case! Give yourself plenty of time and maybe try something nice and gentle like one with a moisturising cream in it, and don’t scrub. Remember, be gentle!
If all else doesn’t work for you just a face washer can do a bit to help with a little flaky skin.
